Embossing.

Embossing adds a raised sculptural impression to letterpress printed projects by using male and female dies to mould the design into the paper or card stock.

In most cases we would emboss without adding any colour (blind embossing) although it is possible for us to letterpress print a colour prior to embossing, resulting in an effect akin to die stamping.
